Currently, in Slovakia, we are dealing with the issue of the further distribution of Czech television programs. What will come next? Will we eliminate Hungarian, Austrian or Polish programs as well? The distribution and offering of foreign television programs is a professional topic that can easily turn into a political one, and according to the Telecommunications Union of the Slovak Republic (TÚSR), all those affected should sit down at a round table without unnecessary emotions and explain their positions.

Forgotten technology makes it possible to call during vacation for free and without a mobile network signal

All kinds of things can happen during alpine tourism at home and abroad as well. On the way to a vacation aborad, communication between cars can be unintentionally expensive and complicated. In such cases, the Telecommunication union of Slovak Republic recommends having an almost forgotten technology as a backup, which allows you to communicate for free even in places without a mobile network signal.

According to a recently published representative survey, almost half of Slovaks plan to spend their summer vacation abroad. World Telecommunications and Information Society Day reminds us how the world has changed thanks to telecommunications

Since 1965, the world has commemorated the World Telecommunications Day every year on May 17, since 2007 World Telecommunications and Information Society Day. On this day, in 1865, the International Telegraph Convention was signed in Paris and the International Telegraph Union was founded, which was renamed the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) in 1934. On April 1st, we celebrate International Bird Day. April is also the month when the most migratory birds arrive on our territory.
